Hello Sweeties!
Here is a holiday gift idea I put together for our dog Toni, she is half yorkie and half bishon, and we love all the crazy that she is.
She shows us unconditional love everyday, like when the hubs gets home from work he always get the best hellos. You would think he was gone for like a year…. that is just how excited she gets. I know this makes him feel special! Whenever I am sick, somehow she knows -and she will lay with me and raise her head every 10 minutes or so to check to see if I am alright. These are just a few of the many joys she brings in our lives. We spoil our dog because she is worth every moment, and we want to show her how special are moments together are.
Here is the Christmas gift I put together for Toni!
I didn’t want to put her present in a bed or bowl, because she has enough of those. So this little Christmas box was perfect that I found at the Burlington for $3.99! (On a side note, they had other boxes that would be great for wrapping any gifts! They were all really cute!!!)
I placed the lid underneath, so her gifts would be sticking out making it easier for her to just pull everything out herself.
The first item to be placed in the box was this really cool 3 IN 1 towel from Burlington for $3.99, that may not be something she can play with, but I thought would be great to place at the bottom so everything else can be raised higher. I really can’t wait to try this out, because Toni is always getting wet in the morning when she walks at the park. Now she can get dried and massaged at the same time… her life is good!
Then I arranged the rest of the items inside the box:
Dog Treats By Foppers Gourmet Pet Treat Bakery From Burlington $4.99 (This is a bonus to her everyday treats, something she will love! They really do look Delicious…)
Toys: I was just going to go ahead with just the larger, multi squeeky Christmas toy from Ross for $3.99 but I felt like she needed a few more. The other two are from the Dollar Tree! She loves the toys from there – they only last about five minutes, but she loves tearing them up and leaving the insides EVERYWHERE… Well I guess we will be having a White Christmas this year after all in Cali. LOL
Bone: Target $5.00 Yes our dog is only an 11 pounder, but she doesn’t act like she is a little dog… She has this one bone that she is crazy about and doesn’t like when you touch it. So we decided to upgrade it with a bigger one…. I think she is going to love it!
Now the gift is complete and what I love about it is everything came from the heart! It it’s always ‘the thought that counts’!
We would love to leave the gift under the tree, but dogs will get into anything… I can just picture it now, one day we will be gone and there will be squeakies with cookie crumbs and plastic paper spread all over house when we returned. We couldn’t get mad because we would be the idiots that put it under the tree… So to avoid all that, we will just place it on the mantel where it cannot be reached!
So lastly here it is covered in wrapping paper from the Dollar Tree…. Hey we have to at least let her unwrap it before she pulls everything out :)! I used only two sheets by laying them on top of the items and tucked them in the box. No tape was used making it easy for her to just pull it off. (She will be supervised!)
Before I go, while shopping for Toni, we found her this leash holder from Burlington for $6.99! This is going to be so great now, because we don’t have to play ‘find the leash’ anymore! There is also storage where I can place some of her clothes etc. ANDDDDD when I find the chalk, her name can be placed on it as well – so cute!!!!
Stay sweet!
XOXO
