Water Never Tasted So Good!

For the longest time, it was really hard for me to drink enough water. Since there is no flavor, sometimes it was just hard to swallow the next sip. I would even have competitions with myself to help me drink more water, but that never lasted long. There are so many benefits of drinking water and knowing this, I had to find another way to enjoy it.

I started doing research and learned about putting fruit and vegetables in my water, this is what most people call Detox water. Doing this made my water taste so much better, but the pulp would build up making it hard to drink.

My favorite part about this bottle is the filter that is built into the lid, which blocks the pulp and seeds from going through the very top.  This bottle has been with me for a few months now and there are no cons about it.

Not only is this bottle the bomb, but it also gives you some great benefits when adding sliced fruit, herbs and vegetables. Adding Citrus fruits such as lemons, limes, and oranges in your water is known to help cleanse your system of toxins as well.

What I like drinking the most is Cucumber, Lemon and Lime water. It taste really good and is so refreshing. There is no set recipe for me, I add what I want.

Cucumbers are one of the most hydrating vegetables, because they’re mostly made up of water and have been shown to help our liver and kidneys get rid of ammonia, which is a by product of the proteins our bodies burn for energy.

Lemons will give you a cleansing effect of citric acid and help to clear out the digestive system.

Limes are a great source of antioxidants and a combination of minerals, vitamins and other essential nutrients.

For a bonus you can add some Mint to makes things taste fresh and crisp, it also improves the flow of bile from the liver to the gallbladder to the small intestine to break down dietary fats. (mint is also known as a natural breath freshener)

Or maybe add some oranges which contain a natural vitamin C and will stimulate the immune system by protecting it against fungi/pests while also helping to reduce cholesterol levels.

Or if I don’t have any cucumbers, I just will have some lemon water which will give you great benefits all on its own:

Energy Boost & Hydration ~ (Just a tip) if you drink lemon water first thing in the morning it can give that energy that you need and will help kick the coffee habit.

A Healthy Poop in the Morning ~ Again lemons help to clear out the digestive system. The bitterness of the lemon increases bile (a natural laxative) and stimulates the gastrocolic reflex (peristalsis) which causes a bowel movement.

Vitamin C ~ Along with all the juicy health benefits already mentioned, lemon is choc-full of vitamin C. Vitamin C boosts immunity, aids in calcium absorption and gives you radiant looking skin.

Drinking H2O is the best thing you can do for yourself and can even make you smarter. There was a study done that showed students that sipped water during their exam scored better than those who didn’t. Drinking water will also improve concentration.

Next time you are about to workout drink an ice cold water to help you exercise harder and last longer. This will pre-cool your body and help with the fatigue.

And the best part about drinking more water is that it will keep your skin looking flawless. You skin will look smoother, less puffy and fresher.
