i just wanted to share with you guys my fruit smoothie recipe that i make for myself and the hubs. hubby’s smoothie are a little different then mine, so i will share both.
what you need to make cupkake’s smoothie :):
- water or coconut water (it taste even better with coconut water)
- greek yogurt (this time using sunnyside hills vanilla greek, but would recommend you use the dannon light & fit greek yogurt because it taste soooooooooo yummy. trust me you will like it and it is a little pricier but worth it! the other one was on sale and i never had it before…. you never know unless you try and now i know dannon taste better.)
- quaker oats
- fruit ( check out how to get smoothie ready!)
- ice (optional)
- blender (i’m using my awesome nutri bullet)
- pure protein
first smoothie up ~ the hubs
i wish i would have taken the picture before i added the water…..
- first add four spoons of yogurt
- then the full cup of protein (the cup that comes inside of it)
- fruit (adding more fruit will make the smoothie even thicker, whatever your preference is!)
- add a couple spoons of oats
- ice (i only used ice this time because the fruit wasn’t frozen)
- 3/4 cup of water or to the max line (before placing the cup on the blender, i let the water melt the ice down just a little)
- now that everything is in your cup or blender, mix them all by using a spoon or flipping the cup upside down and shaking all the ingredients. then you are ready to blend! blend for however long you like and bam you have your smoothie!!!!
second smoothie ~ cupkake’s
everything is pretty much the same except i use a smaller cup, less protein and yogurt.
- first add three spoons of yogurt
- then half a cup of protein (the cup that comes inside of it)
- fruit (adding more fruit will make the smoothie even thicker, whatever your preference is! i like more fruit in mine!!!!)
- add a couple spoons of oats
- ice (i only used ice this time because the fruit wasn’t frozen)
- 3/4 cup of water or to the max line (before placing the cup on the blender, i let the water melt the ice down just a little)
